There are many antiviruses for computers, but which one should you choose? Despite what many think, paid antiviruses are not always better than free antiviruses. I consider Comodo free security suite to be the best free antivirus on the market. They have a paid security suite too. There is not any difference between the two except some extra features.
You can also use the free edition of Malwarebyes. Including Malwarebytes free edition is not necessary, but I’d recommend it as a second-opinion scanner. Malwarebytes free edition is not a good stand alone program because it doesn’t have a firewall.
Wikileaks released some documents from the CIA. CIA hackers called Comodo a “huge pain the posterior.” Other antiviruses (including paid ones) did not do so well against CIA hackers. Not only is Comodo great at protecting your computer against viruses, but it is also very hard for hackers to penetrate. Many people pay $30-50 a year for their antivirus. If you are not very tech savvy and you would like to have some help from Comodo’s tech support when you need it you can get Comodo’s Pro Security Suite for $39.99/year.
There is also a free version of this antivirus that is available for iOS and Android. If you put it on your phone, it can help you block calls from solicitors as well. I have used Comodo on my LG G5 smartphone to block solicitors that used to call my phone on a regular basis.
By using the free edition of Comodo and Malwarebytes, you will get superior protection against both hackers and viruses, and you avoid paying annual fees for this protection. This will allow you to have more money to invest.
