The Bible (the propositional revelation of the 66 books of the Protestant Canon) is the Word of God; it is infallible and inerrant and has supreme authority in my thoughts (Deuteronomy 6:4-9; Proverbs 3:1-6; Psalms 119:89, 105; Isaiah 48:12-16; Romans 8:14-17; II Timothy 2:15, 3:16-17). It is to be used to test all spirits who come to us and all who claim to be prophets and/or Apostles.
There is one God who is revealed to us in the Bible distinctly as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit who are co. eternal and always active both in creation and in heaven (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19).
Man was created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26-27), but fell through disobedience and became separate from God (Genesis 2:17;3:22-24). Now, all men are born with a sinful nature (Psalms 14:1-3;49:7;53:13; Isaiah 64:6; Romans 3:9-12 & 23; 5:12). Man, however, can be redeemed through the sin offering that was given by Yeshua HaMasiach/Jesus Christ (Leviticus 17:11; Isaiah 53; Daniel 9:24-26; 1 Corinthians 3:35). By reliance on Yeshua’s sin offering (his death and atonement) and believing in his resurrection from the dead, a person’s salvation is eternally secured (John 6:37; John 10:38).
God’s Law is the rule of righteousness. God expects mankind to keep the commandments given to us both in the New and the Old Testament (John 14:15, Matthew 5:17-21). Currently, we cannot keep many of the Old Testament commandments due to the destruction of the temple, the absence of a Sanhedrin, and because many of us do not live in Jerusalem. The law has no saving power whatsoever (Romans 7:13-24). We keep God’s Law because we love God (1 John 5:3).
Justification and Recreation:
Man is justified, and thus, saved by faith in Yeshua, who came to earth robed as God robed in flesh, alone (Romans 3:28, ). The act of justification is by God alone, yet maintaining our new identity in Yeshua requires diligent pursuit (Colossians 3, Ephesians 6). As a new creature, man recognizes that God has given man the authority to cast out demons, speak in new tongues, protection from serpents, and heal the sick. If they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; (Mark 16:17-18).*
The End Times
I believe in the resurrection of both the redeemed and the lost; the former to everlasting life and the latter to eternal separation from God (Job 14:14; 19:-25-7; Daniel 12:2-3; John 3:36, 11:25-26; Revelation 20:5-6 & 10-15, 21:7-8).
First Coming of Messiah:
Yeshua’s first coming was for the purpose of fulfilling the promise of redemption (Genesis 3:14-15; Isaiah 53; John 3:16).
Second Coming of Messiah:
Yeshua’s second coming will result in the restoration of the nation of Israel, both physically and spiritually, and those who have been grafted in and the removal of all evil, pain and suffering. (Isaiah 9:6-7 ;Luke 1:30-33, Jeremiah 23:3-8, Romans 11, Revelation 21:4).
*We are not to put our God to the test so I will not be indulging in any snake handling or poison drinking, but if I happen to find myself in such a situation, I have faith that God will give me protection (Deuteronomy 6:16, Luke 4:12).
